HEAL is dedicated to addressing the current divide in healthcare by providing solutions and support to laborers from underserved communities. At the core of the initiative’s strategy is designing educational initiatives that promote awareness on preventative care. Via easy-to-comprehend guides and distributable informative resources, we aim to make knowledge of preventative healthcare including practices such as self-examinations, early detection and lifestyle changes more accessible.
In addition to this, HEAL also aspires to aid the implementation of preventative healthcare through periodic health camps and improved access to preventative healthcare resources attuned to the needs of their chronic conditions including blood pressure monitors, oximeters, and over-the-counter medications. Lastly, in an effort to increase medical adherence, we hope to establish a community buddy system, assisting individuals with daily reminders to ensure monitor conditions and follow health regimens.
Ultimately, HEAL, with the use of a comprehensive approach, looks to address not only immediate health-oriented needs but also encourage and empower individuals in a way that they can take charge of their own well-being in the present and future.
First established in 1998, Thumbay University Hospital is among the leading hospitals in the UAE, spread across cities such as Ajman, Dubai, Sharjah, and Fujairah as well as countries in the MENA region and the Indian sub-continent.
Their mission is to provide accessible and affordable healthcare to all. With a patient-centered attitude towards healthcare, Thumbay University Hospital goes out of their way to provide comfort and timely services to all their patients.
The hospital is also well-recognized for their efforts in aiding equal access to healthcare in society, and have organized countless events over the years, including free medical and dental camps, and blood donation drives.
We are proud to also partner with Aster Cedars Hospital & Clinic, Jebel Ali, one of the UAE’s most trusted healthcare institutions, in support of HEAL – a social economic initiative by Kiara Dhamecha, dedicated to empowering migrant workers in the UAE.
Through this collaboration, Aster brings its Mobile VAN and Mobile Medical Services directly to our facility—offering convenient, community-based healthcare support tailored to meet the needs of individuals and labourers.
As part of the Aster Volunteers CSR initiative, Aster DM Healthcare continues to show a strong commitment to social responsibility. From organizing free wellness camps to providing relief and aid, Aster’s impact reaches far and wide.
Together, Aster and HEAL are working to deliver compassionate, accessible, and impactful healthcare to those who need it most.
